Clearant Inc. History

Clearant, Inc. was founded in 1999 as a private research & development company and went public via a merger with an OTC.BB listed company in 2005.

During the research and development stage the Company spent in excess of $80M to establish a platform inactivation technology that non-intrusively sterilizes a wide range of biologic and non-biologic products. The sterilization process referred to as theClearant Process ® was originally developed by the American Red Cross. The ClearantProcess ® is used in a wide range of allografts (human tissue from a donor) for use in orthopedic, sports medicine, hernia, dental and other surgical specialties. The Clearant Process ® utilizes gamma radiation combined with a patented process to sterilize biologic (and non-biologic) implants to 10-6 without destroying the integrity of the biologic material.

Clearant, Inc. commercialized the technology in 2006 backed by 96 patents and patents pending.
